Progression of Offences

The Student Conduct Process is progressive in nature. When problematic behaviour happens on several occasions, it shows that the resident has not learned from previous attempts to address the behaviour, so different strategies must be applied. If a resident commits two offences at Level One or Level Two, the third offence will be elevated to the next level.

Please note that individual sanctions will vary according to the circumstances of the individual case, and this progression chart only indicates a minimum recommendation for sanctions.

What kind of sanctions can I expect?

There is a framework to guide the sanctioning process. Please keep in mind that this framework usually represents a minimum sanctioning suggestion, and could be supplemented with additional educational sanctions, fines or other sanctions as the situation warrants, especially in cases of progression.
