Visiting Speakers

The BISC has a first-class visiting speakers program to give students access to the latest directions and arguments in key contemporary academic and artistic fields.  These sessions are free of charge, open to all, and take place in the evenings, or at lunchtime. After the talk or performance, students have a chance to discuss the issues raised with the visitor in an informal Q&A session. We invite a wide range of academics, professionals, and performers.  A photograph of Dr Sheila Whiteley speaking at the BISC
