Accreditation and Quality Assurance at BISC

A decorative photo of a wood carving from inside the castleQuality assurance of BISC educational standards is taken very seriously. All BISC courses are accredited by Queen’s University (Canada) and are subject to scrupulous quality assurance reviews and standardisation by both the Ontario Universities Council on Quality Assurance (Canada) and the UK government’s Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (United Kingdom).  We also have a rigorous internal program of classroom observations and syllabi review by the BISC Academic Director and BISC Curriculum Committee to ensure we maintain the high standards that have earned us an excellent reputation to date.

The BISC has undergone a review for educational oversight monitoring visit by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) and has received its final report, which is available in full at: www.qaa.ac.uk/InstitutionReports/Reports/Pages/REO-Bader-IS-AM-13.aspx

The monitoring visit resulted in the following outcome:

"The QAA monitoring team has concluded that we are making acceptable progress in implementing the action plan from the Recognition Scheme for Educational Oversight."
