Introduction
My name is Katie, and I am a fourth-year student from Burlington, Ontario, majoring in Life Science. I chose to study Life Sciences at Queen’s University because of the strong sense of community between students and faculty as well as the important focus on academics. The campus itself is beautiful with many opportunities for involvement no matter what your interests and having a general first year allowed me to explore many fields of study before deciding on a subject I felt passionate about. Queen’s has so much school spirit and I have had the honour of being involved in many campus initiatives and student-run jobs like Walkhome which is a safe walk service dedicated to ensuring the campus feels safe and inclusive!
