Jesse Feng, Biology

Introduction

My name is Jesse, and I am a fourth year Biology student, with a minor in Psychology. I went on a road trip back in grade 11 with my family and stopped in Kingston on our way to Montreal. I loved how beautiful the city was and how beautiful the campus looked. The city felt safe and peaceful, and that experience solidified my desire to attend Queen's. I loved that the city was mostly self-contained, and there wasn't a need to navigate around a busy city just to attend classes. I've really enjoyed the community of students here, as I have had many positive experiences with making friends and connecting with others. There are opportunities for everyone to be involved in whatever they are interested in, with huge selections of clubs for everyone to join and make the most of their university experience. I took an interest in veterinary work in my third year and joined Queen’s Veterinarians Without Borders as a marketing member, helping to raise awareness of VWB's mission and marketing our fundraising events. This year, I am a secretary for the Biology DSC to be more involved with my program and connect with other students and professors in my department. I also work part time throughout the school year, so if anyone would like advice on how to manage their time while balancing different aspects of their school, work, and social life, I can offer some input on things I have done that have helped me!
