As an important member of the Dean's Office, Faculty of Arts and Science, Ignacio is the IT Operations Coordinator responsible for managing many IT logistics and various other projects to ensure the faculty and all its departments run smoothly.

He has worked at Queen's since 2003. He brings over 30 years of experience in the IT field, dealing with and aligning different technologies, best practices, and legislation with diverse stakeholders (including committees, departments, units, faculty, managers, and vendors).

When he is not learning more about one of the latest technologies, he is travelling around the world or reading a good book on philosophy, mysticism, or religions. He has visited more than 50 countries, so if you are planning some exotic holidays, don't hesitate to ask him for his advice!

Some of his other personal passions include:

  • Learning and understanding more about different cultures and their past
  • Geopolitics, financials, economics, different government systems, policies, and societies
  • Philanthropy, empathy, and true altruism
  • Reality, illusion, senses and existence theories
  • Dancing Tango, Salsa, Merengue, or other Latin and romantic beats
  • Poems, metaphors, proverbs, sayings, maxims, symbolism, and archetypes
  • Knights Templar history

Curious enough? Come and say hi! I guarantee you he will be delighted to hear from you and who knows, perhaps have some great discussions together!
