Preventive conservation, risk assessment, outdoor metals, environmental sustainability, and ethics, especially with respect to communities of origin.
Biography
Fiona Graham is a professional conservator specializing in preventive conservation and outdoor sculptural and architectural metals conservation. She graduated with a B.A. (Hons) in Art History from Queen’s University in 1987 and obtained her Master of Art Conservation degree (Artifacts stream) from Queen’s in 1989. Fiona now teaches in the Queen’s Master of Art Conservation program and in Athabasca University’s Heritage Management Resources program; she also provides consulting services to collecting organizations and stewards of heritage buildings across Canada.
Fiona is Past President of the Canadian Association of Professional Conservators, an accredited member of the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals, a member of the Technical Sub-Committee of the Society of American Archivists’ Standards Committee, and a member of the Advisory Board for Embedding Sustainability in Cultural Heritage Conservation Education, a Mellon Grant-funded project of the UCLA/Getty Interdepartmental Program in the Conservation of Cultural Heritage.
