Running for a Colleague and a Cure

Queen’s Teams Raise $102,000

Sixteen Queen’s teams came together to raise more than $100,000 for breast cancer research as part of the 2012 CIBC Run for the Cure, making Queen’s the top team in the post-secondary challenge.

Leading the way was K. Lo’s Krew, a group of 142 Office of Advancement staff and friends who came together in support of colleague Karen Logan, who is now a breast cancer survivor. K. Lo’s Krew walked, ran and coloured the run pink to raise more than $41,000. K. Lo’s Krew also won the 2013 Commitment Award at the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation Community Celebration in Toronto.
