Where can I stay for the weekend?

Queen’s has booked blocks of rooms for those of you celebrating your 25th and 50th+ reunions. Contact the Reunions Office (x77467 or reunions@queensu.ca) for information on how to book a room. If you don’t fall under either of these categories, your Reunion Coordinator may have booked a block of rooms for your class. You also have the option of booking rooms on your own. Kingston accommodation information can be found online.

We haven’t been to Kingston for a while. What are some good restaurants for dinner/brunch that weekend?

Try the Tourism Kingston Restaurant Directory or the Downtown Kingston! Restaurant Directory.

How do I find out what my class is doing?

You should be receiving an email from your Reunion Coordinator in the next few months with all of the details. You may want to stay connected with what your class is planning by regularly visiting your class web page, which will also be updated as your class's plans are developed.

If you don’t know if your class has a Reunion Coordinator, or if you’d like to volunteer to help, contact Kathryn Vilela at x77903 or reunions@queensu.ca.

My class doesn’t have a Reunion Coordinator. How do I get involved in organizing something for my class?

Contact Kathryn Vilela at x77903 or reunions@queensu.ca.

Can I come on a different weekend than this date?

Alumni are welcome to participate in reunions at any time of the year, including a different weekend the “official” Homecoming weekend.

Why is Homecoming being held on one weekend and not two?

We have consulted with all of our partners and feel comfortable bringing Homecoming back for one weekend next year. While there were positive aspects to the two-weekend model, there were several challenges as well, particularly in terms of resources. We also looked at the OUA football calendar when making this decision and are cognizant of the fact that our other home games are either very early in September when students are just settling in or on holiday weekends when people tend to have other commitments.

Are any of my professors going to be around that weekend?

We hope to be able to connect you with your former professors. If you would like to be connected with a former prof and involve them in one of your class events, please contact the Reunions Office at reunions@queensu.ca.

Will we have access to our old buildings over the weekend?

Many faculties and buildings will be holding open houses over the Homecoming weekends. Planning for these will be finalized  in April, 2014. Please check the Homecoming website at that time for full details.

Will there be campus tours over the weekend?

Program information will be finalized in April, 2014. Please check the Homecoming website at that time for full details.
