Cocktails and conversation in Boston
Join the Consul General of Canada to New England Patrick G. Binns, Queen's Principal & Vice-Chancellor Daniel Woolf, and fellow alumni for an evening at the Consulate General of Canada in Boston on November 7.
Born in Saskatchewan, Patrick began his career in northern Alberta as a community development officer and spent 35 years living and working in PEI, latterly serving 11 years as the province’s 30th premier and working the family’s edible bean farm alongside his wife, Carol. He then spent three years serving as the Canadian ambassador to Ireland before becoming Canada’s consul general to New England in 2010. Learn more

The UK Alumni branch will be holding a reception for Queen’s first full-time provost, Alan Harrison, at Buck’s Club in Mayfair on November 20—a wonderful opportunity for Branch members to gather and meet this accomplished administrator, teacher, and researcher. Learn more

The 7th annual Alumni Awards Gala was held on Saturday, October 13 to celebrate the inspirational achievements of members of the Queen’s community. The award winners included His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Law’66, LLD’91, Governor General of Canada.
