Queen's University

Life Sciences, Kinesiology, and Physical and Health Education

If you are fascinated by the complex workings of the human body, the Faculty of Arts and Science offers a variety of programs that will stimulate and challenge you.

Our flagship Life Sciences program examines the basic medical sciences through a multi-disciplinary approach. Grounded with a strong foundation in Natural and Physical Sciences, you will have the opportunity to specialize in interdisciplinary studies such as neuroscience, cardiovascular sciences, and reproductive biology.

Kinesiology students focus on the fields of applied exercise science – biomechanics, ergonomics, exercise physiology and physical activity epidemiology as well as exercise and sport psychology, and the socio-cultural context of physical activity.

The Physical Education curriculum has a focus on the application of physical activity and sport knowledge. Learn about human movement from a multi-disciplinary perspective including the physical, behavioural and social sciences, and integrate theory and application through involvement in coaching and fitness leadership.

Take the classroom to the field:  While you’re at Queen’s, why not put theory into practice by getting involved in coaching or fitness leadership?
