Information for Queen's Students
APPLICATION DEADLINE - 1 June
Students in other Faculties or Schools at Queen's University may be considered as upper-year applicants to the School of Business. There are very few spaces available; consequently, students need to have a minimum GPA of 3.3 (high B standing) to be competitive for admission consideration.
When selecting upper-year students, Queen's School of Business seeks candidates who are well prepared academically and who, through their variety of interests, experience and capabilities can contribute to and benefit from a stimulating intellectual climate and can function effectively in business organizations after graduation. In short, the School seeks the same qualities in its students as business seeks in our graduates: bright, well-rounded individuals.
As part of the application, a Personal Statement of Experience (PSE) is required and is intended to give the selection committee a broader picture of accomplishments than is possible by marks alone. This will appear as an item on the To-Do list on your Student Center (which you will access through https://my.queensu.ca/solus). You will find a link to the PSE system on your Student Center page. The deadline for receipt of all supporting documentation is 15 June.
Candidates for admission with advanced standing will be considered as a group in mid-July and offers of admission are sent as soon as possible after that date.
Due to the late date when decisions are made and the limited number of available spaces, applicants are advised to participate in the preregistration process of their current program.
