Death of a student
Queen’s regrets to inform the community of the death of student Emma Purdie. Emma, who passed away July 13 in Peterborough after a tragic accident, recently completed her first year of study in the Faculty of Arts and Science and was a member of the Queen's Dance Pack.
“On behalf of the Queen's community, I want to extend deep and sincere condolences to Emma's family and friends. Our thoughts are with them at this time,” says acting principal Alan Harrison.
A private family service will be held, and a celebration of life will take place at a later date. Flags on campus will be lowered in Emma's memory.
