Community Appeal supports campus programs and initiatives

“Every day I see how passionate Queen’s staff and faculty are in their work with students. We go that extra mile,” says Bob Burge (Education), a staff co-chair for the Campus Community Appeal. “I’d like to ensure our contributions to Queen’s are noticed. We can do this by volunteering with the Campus Community Appeal.”
By volunteering with the appeal, staff and faculty can grow their personal and professional network while making a difference on campus. Volunteers can select opportunities that fit their schedules.
The appeal has a direct impact across campus as the funds raised support programs and initiatives that enrich the teaching and learning environment. Last year, 700 faculty, staff and retirees supported initiatives on campus that meant the most to them, pledging almost $1-million in support.
“As faculty members, we know how important even a small contribution can be, and we can often identify areas in need of support that might not be visible to alumni or external donors,” says Jill Scott (Languages, Literatures, and Cultures), a faculty co-chair.
