Queen’s University expert Warren Mabee is available to talk about Tuesday’s announcement that Health Canada and Statistics Canada will conduct a study exploring the relationship between wind turbine noise and health effects of people living near wind power developments.

“Health Canada’s call for research into the relation between wind turbine noise and health effects highlights the need for smart spatial planning of renewable power facilities. It is increasingly important that new projects be sited in ways that balance economic, social and environmental requirements,” says Dr. Mabee, a School of Policy Studies professor and director of the Queen's Institute for Energy & Environmental Policy.
