Death of a recent student
Queen’s regrets to inform the community of the death of recent graduate Walter Gerow. Walter, who graduated from the Faculty of Education in 2012 and was a member of the Queen’s rugby club, died after a tragic accident on August 6.
“On behalf of the Queen’s community, I want to extend my deepest condolences to Walter’s family, friends and loved ones during this most difficult time,” says acting principal Alan Harrison, Provost and Vice-Principal (Academic).
Visitation will take place Thursday, August 9 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral services will be held at Bethany United Church in Bethany, Ontario on Friday, August 10 at 1:30 pm with visitation one hour prior.
Donations can be made to the Bethany - Pontypool United Church or the Lindsay Rugby Club in memory of Walter.
